Born and raised in Singapore to a Filipino family, Ian Kamus moved to the United States in 2004. Now Ian is a consultant with Kamus Consulting Group. Encountering barriers to employment, creating a business with his family became a way to earn a living as consultants while utilizing their professional skills and education.

Over the years, Ian has consulted with grassroots nonprofits, most notably, Pilipino Workers Center assisting with program development. Ian enjoys the working relationships he has built with clients over the years and the flexibility to pursue his dreams.

Ian hopes to take the lessons that he’s learned and apply them to his future career aspirations of environmental consulting — helping build LEED-certified buildings. Through his entrepreneurship experience, he has learned how much he enjoys working with his family, and dreams of transforming the consulting business into a family-owned co-op.
